Hellens Manor and Gardens

This beautiful historic house in Much Marcle, Herefordshire, is a living monument to much of England’s history. It remains a living home, and contains a wealth of treasures. Hellens' garden is open for Public Tours from Easter Day until October on Wednesday, Sunday and Bank holiday afternoons with tours at 1, 2 and 3pm.

We visited deliberately during the Hellens Garden Festival hosted in the gardens and grounds of Hellens Manor. There are art and craft stalls, garden tours, live musicians, demonstrations and lovely food on offer. There is a 17th century octagonal dovecot, a physic garden, a yew labyrinth, herb and kitchen gardens, woodlands, a wildlife and sculpture meadow and ponds in very restful scenery. During The Garden Festival, guided tours of the house are available and several of us took advantage of this (well worth it with a superb guide).
